Happiest Tuesday, January 26th & Happiest Friday, January 29th ever this week!!!!
Keeping it raw and real friends! I am #spreadingjoy by sharing my JOY with you! The fullness; no, change that to the overflowing love pouring out of my heart!! Lots of excitement, some anxiety and nerve-wracking moments and an abundance of gratitude and exceeding elation this week for my family!! (L8r post 4 Happy Friday!) Our first grandchild, Isaac Alexander, was born on Tuesday, January 26th!!!!! 😃 When you think as a woman and a mother, you cannot possibly give, feel or hold anymore love, you become a grandmother and your heart literally beats with rapid speed; palpable, deeper, audibly and joyfully painful (yeah, it’s a thing imho) and dang near explodes out of your body into the universe!!! Your tears flow freely, unabashedly with exceeding joy, as your smile on your face stretches to your ears and hurts your face!! Your son and daughter-in-law are naturally beaming with joy. Your son and daughter-in-law are full of pride and are “over the moon” as well!! What an indescribable feeling!!! You thank God for the beautiful and absolutely amazing gift of new life and the blessing of children and grandchildren!! 🙏 A Fabulous Friday, because I/we got to hold my/our newborn baby grandson for the first time!!! 4 real! I’m Oma and hubby’s Opa. (grandma & grandpa in German) An unknown quote says: “Dearer than our children are the children of our children!” Now I know, I “get it”...I understand what my dear late mother and dear late mother-in-law (wish they were here 😞) were talking about! 🤩 There are no words to describe the happiness in holding your baby’s baby! As soon as I can (get lost Covid!); this @thetealadyrita is planning a “Signature Experience Event” for our family in honour of our grandson’s birth!! @signature_experience_events 🎉🥳 The other exciting #event this week @ritamargaritafarmer is...baby lamb #9 was born the same day as our grandson!! How cool is that?! My son had to come home from the hospital (just before his wife was induced) to literally pull the lamb from the ewe. She suffered greatly for a long time! When he was finally born, we thought he was still-born. He was stuck and twisted inside the mama. Had he not been pulled, mama and baby would not have made it. The first 2 days, it seemed “Big Buddy” (I name all our animals) wouldn’t “make it”, He is so huge! Larger than the other 1-month old baby lambs. He didn’t eat, could barely walk; his one hoof is not healthy and we thought he’s gonna go to “sheep heaven”. I stayed up during the night in the barn, waiting for a text from our son about the progress at the hospital while trying to bottle-feed the lamb so he could gain a bit of strength. Nerve-wracking and exhausting. btw, we’re taking Big Buddy to the #vet @langleyanimalclinic today. 🐑 Life is so incredibly precious and short. Every day is a blessing, especially when we can spend time with the people (and animals) that fill our hearts with love and give us joy!! Family, friends and time become more important and valuable the older we get. Collect moments, not things. Share, dance, sing, kiss, hug, laugh, share, cry, drink tea, coffee, wine, margaritas, 🤤 and love your peeps real good. Take time to do what makes your soul and heart happy! My soul and heart is happy when I share love and gifts. I am #givingback when I donate to Friendship Bridge with each of the #teaboxes you will buy, to help empower women and eliminate $$ poverty. DM 📲 📱 4 deets 🤗 Enjoy your weekend friends! You have worked diligently this week. You and I have made the best of it. It's time to relax and celebrate you, your family and your wins. Time is precious! Wishing you all a fun and enjoyable weekend! 😊 What will you do this weekend to make your soul and heart happy? Who will you #celebratethepsecialmoments with in your life (safely) this weekend? Share in the comments below! Thank you. ❤️💕 🥰 😘 🤗 😃 🍵 ☕️ 🍷 🥂 🍹 🍰 🎂 🧁 ☀️ 💐 🌸 🌺 👫 👬 👭 🕰 ⏰ #tea #afternoontea #teatime #alwaystimefortea #metime #thetealady #ourheartsarefull #tearsofjoy #love #soul #baby #grandson #family #laughter #defender #memories #taketimeforyourfriends #taketimeforyou #fridayvibes #linkinbio #womeninbusiness #smallbusinessowner #supportsmallbusiness #supportlocal #fraservalley #yvr @ritamargaritafarmer @birthdaywishesexpert @teriharrison Did you know? Tea is a natural and tasty choice for a variety of health benefits.
Sage tea is an aromatic infusion made from the leaves of Salvia Officinalis, an herb in the same family as mint. A few of the benefits are: happiness, relaxation, cognition & mental performance, and healthy heart. Sage wish is commonly used as a spice is also long known for its use in traditional and alternative medicine. In particular, it is known for potential health benefits, though some scientific research is in preliminary stages. Commonly used as a spice, Sage also has a long history of use in alternative and traditional medicine. Notably, it’s packed with potential health benefits, although scientific research is still in its preliminary stages. As I read and write, I often choose a tea such as Sage. Whatever you’re doing; ponder/think of the many things that your cuppa Sage will help you focus on. Tea enhances emotional wellness and is an important area of brain health. The polyphenols in green tea aid in releasing dopamine which emits happy feelings in your brain. "Sage is good for the head and brain, it quickeneth the senses and memory." John Gerard (1545–1612) English botanist with a large herbal garden in London. Author - 1,484-page illustrated Herball, or Generall Historie of Plantes, published 1597 Sage Tea Recipe: Handful of fresh sage 2 - 3 rosemary sprigs , optional Honey/sugar/agave nectar, optional Disclaimer: Do not use Sage during pregnancy or when lactating. I am not a Medical Doctor. As a heart-centered, deeply-caring and people-loving woman, my intentions here are solely to provide you with some beneficial elements and information about tea. I am a strong advocate for health; particular women’s health. In my experience with previous physical, psychological, and emotional health situations, I have found numerous types of tea and natural herbs to help my healing journey, in all aspects of life. I hope you will find some of this helpful to you as well. You can think of it as a sage piece of wisdom. 😉 ❤️ 🤗 Save and share this post with your loved ones and BFF’s. Have you heard of Gunpowder Green Tea? Why is a type of Green Tea called “Gunpowder” you may ask? Gunpowder Tea is a famous non-fermented traditional Chinese green tea. It’s a black color roasted and rolled green tea which looks like gunpowder. Gunpowder tea is mostly produced in Fuding, Fujian province of China. (established during the Qing Dynasty in 1739 AD) It is also grown in Sri Lanka and Taiwan. The tea leaves are rolled for drying purposes and to keep the aroma fresh for the drinker of this tea. These pearls of tea are full of taste and fragrance and that’s why this is sometimes called “green pearl”. It gets its name since the tea leaves are rolled up into tiny balls, looking similar to gunpowder and the caffeine content is higher than other green teas, because of the tightly rolled up leaves. Green tea is a natural stimulant, can boost your productivity, revs up your metabolism, balances the ratio of good and bad cholesterol, helps fight heart disease, lowers your risk of Type 2 diabetes, keeps your bones strong, improves blood flow, stabilized blood sugar, keeps you looking youthful, prolongs life and may help you “chill out” as the amino acid L-theanine, acts as a neurotransmitter in your brain. According to several studies, L-theanine appears to increase alpha-wave generation in your brain, which signals a state of relaxation. Here’s a recipe for you: 2 tbsp. Gunpowder green tea 1 kettle hot water ½ c. fresh spearmint leaves
You can make your Gunpowder Tea Chinese Style or brew Western Style. See #linkinbio When you choose to brew your tea the traditional way, your tea will have the optimum flavour. The method takes longer and is more complex than the Western Style, although the “Chinese Style” method is matchless. More info in the #bio The taste of Gunpowder tea is thick and mellow like pure honey. The golden liquor refreshes you as you taste it. So get a sip of best quality Gunpowder tea and be fresh. So there you have it! You want to be healthy, have strong bones and a strong heart, be productive, yet feel relaxed and of course, you want to look youthful! :-) Enjoy! Let me hug you!The Benefits of Hugging
Oh Friday. Let me hug you! 🫂 Happy Friday friends! #icymi - I know I did. I missed it yesterday...“Hugging Day” January 21, 2021 One thing you will know about me is that I am a hugger!! I love hugging! 5 reasons why you should make hugging part of your daily routine:
According to Virginia Satir {(1916 - 1988) influential American author, renowned psychotherapist and honoured with the title “Mother of Family Therapy” for her pioneering work.}: “We need 4 hugs a day for survival. We need 8 hugs a day for maintenance. We need 12 hugs a day for growth.” As social beings, we are created for connection, community and cooperation. Hugging teaches us about giving and receiving. Hugs are akin to laughter and meditation. You encourage understanding and empathy, when you hug; investments in your relationships. Hugging helps us feel connected. We know, especially in this Covid time how much we miss our BFF’s and special peeps. We are living in a time of isolation and some are deprived of touch. Our social nature craves togetherness and hugging. Hugs strengthen your immune system, contribute to relaxation, trust and psychological stability. We all need that, even more so now. The feelings provided from Oxytocin are contentment, pleasure, happiness, and euphoria; good-for- you feelings. Hugs get you out of your circular patterns of thought. Hugs boost your self-esteem and help you connect with your breathing, feelings and your heart. You have the power to improve your health. With utmost respect for those of you who don’t like hugging, possibly due to early childhood experience, cultural background and influence. Whatever the reasons; you should never do something that doesn't make you feel good imho 😊 🙏 Sending you lots of Vitamin H today, along with Vitamin D - The Sunshine Vitamin Here’s to you getting your daily dose of the human love drug: Oxytocin! May the sun and your cuppa give you a big hug today! You can give someone a hug when you gift them a Teabox Go out, enjoy the sun and hug someone today! Do you like hugging? A little #wednesdaywisdom for you! Know your tea before you pour your tea. Take care and you will delight in the delicate flavours. You’ve spent your hard-earned 💵 and bought high quality teas. You want them to stay and taste fresh. A few helpful tips to keep your tea tasting yummy! 😋 Tea will last a long time if you store it properly. It can be savoured for 6 months to a few years, depending on your choice. Some teas improve with age. Tea flavours change over time and require different storage types. Store your tea in a dark location. Light, especially sunlight, will damage it. When you choose your preferred teabox, tin or canister, ensure it’s opaque. This will keep your teas from losing flavour, become discoloured or tasting bitter. Store your tea in a dry location; this ensures mold doesn't set in. Avoid storing where condensation occurs; your basement or cellar. 🚽 🛁 😂 Funny, not funny! Your kitchen also produces humidity and storing your teas on a raised shelf isn’t good as heat rises. It’s been debated whether to store tea in your fridge or freezer. If you decide to, ensure you vacuum seal it, which removes oxygen and avoids moisture build-up. You want to keep your costly, precious loose leaf teas fresh. Ensure you use an airtight container so your tea flavours are preserved. The flavour will last longer and airflow won’t diminish it. When storing loose leaf teas, consider teabags, coffee beans and spices, as these also lose their delicate aromas and flavours, when exposed to moisture and light. 7 reasons your tea tastes yucky and goes rancid:
#celebratethespecialmoments enjoy your #teatime Tea is calming; the mere process of brewing tea, offers a boost to your mental health. “You can’t buy happiness, but you can buy tea and that’s kind of the same thing.” – Author unknown How do you store your teas? What a glorious sunshine-y Monday!
Mondays are usually thought of as the least favourite day of the week. While the majority of people dislike Mondays, this day can really be the preferred day of the week. Today is National Thesaurus Day. - Big deal you say? Did you know? “Research shows that if we start a new project or set a new personal or professional goal on Monday, we are more likely to follow through. According to another study, we are more motivated at the beginning of a period, like the morning, Monday.” Roget’s Thesaurus is known to be one of the most widely used reference books worldwide. It was published in 1852 and the book has never gone out of publication. After his retirement from a successful medical career, (Peter Mark Roget 1779 - 1869) he spent the rest of his life working on “Roget’s Thesaurus of English Words and Phrases.” Do you know why he made word lists? It’s believed this was a way for him to combat depression and mental illness. Using a Thesaurus is an excellent way to increase your vocabulary and help you to become a better writer. As an avid reader, writer and learner; a Thesaurus is one of my favourite reference books. You can opt for a hard copy, download an app to your device or bookmark a website. You will notice that your writing and vocabulary improves when you regularly refer to a Thesaurus. For you #icy - a few games & word apps available on the App Store:
You will also find games in the Merriam Webster website dropdown menu. Do you read/use a Thesaurus? Or Thesauri? Yes, that is a word. It is the plural form of Thesaurus and is traditionally published in print form and are now more widely available and used online. I believe in and support education/learning/study/literacy/teaching/training/schooling/improvement and knowledge locally, and internationally in Guatemala and Paraguay. What are your thoughts on learning and education? Do you enjoy games? For fun or for learning? Both? Are you enjoying the glorious sunshine? Are you reading/learning today? Did you know? When you read, your brain is full of stimuli? Did you know? Reading reduces stress, improvest your sleep quality, increases your vocabulary and memory and improves your intelligence. Few of us know what exactly is happening in our brains when we are reading. Until recently, finding out in real-time what processes take place in your brain while you read was difficult. Thankfully, due to MRI’s and other techniques, neuroscience now allows you to see your brain activity while you are working on a task. There is a correlation between reading, learning and cognitive performance. Neuroscience has proven that when you read, it causes you to experience more situations and trains the processing of your emotions, making you emotionally smarter. Amazing right? #icymi scroll to Jan 6th post & read: “I am a great lover of words, reading them, learning…” Do you enjoy reading? Do you read for pleasure and/or for learning? Do you like receiving or giving books? Do you want to receive a book in your exclusive teabox? lmk Your purchases will empower women and support education. Did you know?
