​What do you think about when you “see” the words clarity, vision & focus?

Recently at an Optometrist appointment, I had to focus on a screen on the front wall & on the letters, far & near, in numerous positions & varying pieces of optical equipment. I had to focus on lights, different directions & keep my eyes open & concentrate on focal points. At times, the images were clear & unclear. When the eye doctor placed eye drops in my eyes to enlarge the pupils, I had to keep my eyes closed for 5 minutes for the drops to take effect. Dilating the pupils allows the eye doctor to see clearly as it enlarges & opens the eyes.This brought to mind the analogy of focus, fixation, gaze, vision, clarity, lack of focus & lack of clarity. 

It became crystal clear that keeping your eyes open & focused helps you move in a successive, forward-facing, direct way.

Focus is so important because it’s the gateway to all thinking: perception, memory, learning, reasoning, problem solving, & decision making. Without focus, your ability to think lacks & you won’t be as effective in your work because if you’re not concentrating on what you need to, you won’t be capable of getting your work done.

Monday motivation...Energized after a.m. HIIT Cardio motivated to get work and get s!$t done! Focused on forward movement, decisive actions and learning. You may have noticed, I am a lover of all things learning, words and books...courses, webinars, reading, writing, speaking, stories, acronyms, quotes, encouragement and sage advice. These prove beneficial in everyday life, personally and professionally. I thoroughly enjoy learning as I believe education is key to everything. ⁣
