Prepare something to warm your body and feed your tummy. For extra warmth and feel-good vibes; add your best people and you will fill your cup your soul and your favourite peeps too. Do you know I love cooking, in addition to my incredible passion for gathering people, planning events and encouraging others?! Julia Child was a famous, successful and excellent chef, with a hilarious sense of humour! Your spouse, family member or BFF? Did you think of a plan? Guests? Venue? Menu? Theme? First, invitations to your special peeps. Send a “hold-in-your-hand” invitation for a personalized touch. When you choose paper, it’s clear who’s on the list. Everyone has a mailing address, not everyone has FB accounts. Your friends will feel extra special when an exclusive card arrives specifically addressed to them. The cost is higher than digital yet real cards have higher RSVP’s. Digital invites are economical and eco-friendly. They can be missed due to changed email addresses, spam filters, possibly misunderstood or forwarded unintentionally. 🙊 Choose a theme. Have fun with it! Be creative! Choose vases, glasses, or thrift shop and vintage finds for your flowers and decor. Use a teacup, teapot or a waffle cone inside a vase. You can hang Piñatas! Oh the laughter that will happen! Make garlands of balloons interlaced with flowers or for an impressive touch, you can add other interesting items. Some gigantic balloons displaying the age or letters spelling out the person’s name or simply YEAH! You gotta have a birthday cake! What kind? Elegant, fancy, unique, plain? Make an easy recipe, add sprinkles, letter candles and an amusing cake topper! You can buy or make cute, colourful toppers for cupcakes. Have warm lighting. Hang up fairy lights or place lanterns. 💡 🧚♀️ Put on some music to enhance the ambiance and set the tone. 🎶 🎵 Ensure you thank all for attending your party, for the gifts and their help! For an added nice gesture, and get people talking about the friends, food and fun they enjoyed; mail each guest a thank you card. They’ll appreciate your thoughtfulness.
