“I must have flowers, always, and always.” - Claude Monet - 1840 - 1926
There is something special about fresh flowers brightening up your home! It has long been known that being surrounded by nature and flowers boosts our moods, reduces our stress levels and aids in a restful night of sleep. The link to the colour of flowers and their sweet aromas are part of the mental health benefits. Flowers encourage creativity, ignite inspiration and help with memory and problem-solving. When some of these flowers are taken as tea, our bodies are cooled and relaxed. Flowers and plants make you feel as though you are in nature, even though you may be in a city dwelling away from the beauty of nature. Bright-coloured flowers, particularly red, are connected to concentration, while blue flowers encourage free thinking. Bright orange or yellow flowers, known for their antiviral, antifungal and antibacterial properties, are another cheerful colour to brighten up your space. On this Friday, I am focusing on the Peace Lily. A showy flower, herbaceous and beautiful house plant, with “white sails'' flowers, and glossy leaves. This plant has a long bloom season, does well in lower light conditions, although it flourishes better in bright, filtered light. Be careful not to place it in direct sunlight. ☀️ There are several different symbolisms and emotions associated with the Peace Lily. Peace. Hope. Purity, Prosperity. Healing. Tranquility. It’s often given as a gift signifying sympathy, longevity, rebirth, and beauty. 🤩 One of my Peace Lily plants has a brown plaque on the “white sail” and it’s beauty is somewhat diminished by this. My green thumb must have gotten a little wilted. 😂 Which flowers do you love to have in your home? Which ones are most meaningful to you? Which flowers will you choose to #celebratethespecialmoments this Easter? 😃 🙏 ❤️ 💕 🍵☕️💐🌸🌺🌼🌹 🌱 🪴 #tea #afternoontea #teatime #metime #alwaystimefortea #thetealady #spreadingjoy #creativity #love #flowers #peacelily #peace #hope #goodfriday #easterweekend #2021 #faith #givingback #donate #tablescape #centrepiece #decor #monet #langleybusiness #womeninbusiness #fraservalley #bossladies #yvr #linkinbio
