“Friends share each other’s gladness and wipe each other’s tears.” - Charles Jeffreys
FYI - Spoiler alert - A “heavy” post. You may need some kleenex.
You’ve seen the astonishing photos; you may be living the pain and anguish of the last two weeks here in British Columbia, you know someone who is affected, you know you are helping or you want to help. That’s what friends and family and even people we don’t know do, have done and are doing. 😮
The “Atmospheric River” has caused utter desolation beyond comprehension. It has caused rivers of emotions, distress and unimaginable havoc, suffering and loss. 😭 😩 🌊
What do you do? What do you say? How do you help? 🙋🏻♀️ 🙋♂️
Over here, we’re overwhelmed, shocked and profoundly saddened by the kidnapping for ransom and senseless murder of someone we know, a kind, gentle and loving man; husband, father, Opa, brother, friend and colleague, through my husband’s relatives and our very dear, long-time friends. 😭 💔 😭
There are absolutely NO words to describe the unspeakable grief and agony.
You realize your family and friends are important. 💕
You are aware of what truly matters in your life.
You are reminded of the brevity of life.
You remember the good times of your life and your loved ones. 🤗
You volunteer, donate, pick up and deliver the necessities of life, “lend an ear”, share resources; you support the best way you can if you’re able. 🙏
You consider getting together with them to #celebratethespecialmoments hug each other, cry, scream if you need to, laugh, sing, dance, and break bread together. 😊
You will cherish time well spent with people; loved ones and “strangers” alike and make beautiful, enduring memories. 🥰
You can share meaningful time together and have your “friends” gathering done for you. You can help your neighbour because 20% 💵 of your event will be donated to help our #floodvictims ☺️
You will feel good knowing that you are supporting others and creating deep bonds with people. 😌
“You can’t give your life more time, so give the time you have left more life.” - Unknown
How have you been dealing with the sadness, heaviness and turmoil of recent weeks?
Let’s share and support each other. 🤗
Feel free to comment below; you could be helping someone with your words. 🤲
Blessings to you, your family and friends and everyone who is a part of this. 🙏
❤️ 💕 💔 ❤️🩹 🥀 😔 🤗 ☕️ 🧁 🍰 🌺 🌹 👩🌾 🚜
