Welcome to the Blog
You wanna know something about me? 😃
Did you know? 🙋🏻♀️ 💭 🤔 For 7 years I was one of the #eventplanners Ladies Retreats along with my co-coordinators. We were a team/a core group of 4 women who planned an annual event in October. It was held @campsqueah http://squeah.com/retreat/ on the outskirts of Hope, in the beautiful Fraser Canyon. The word Squeah - means “A place of Refuge” in the Salish language. http://squeah.com/camps/guide/faqs/ This place has been and remains one of my most favourite places to be! It is welcoming, scenic, fun and relaxing. My good friends, team members and I had loads of fun, laughed and cried with numerous challenges and concerns that arise when you are planning events. Things like logistics, technical problems, illnesses, inclement weather, food allergies, power outages and all that fun stuff. 😉 Not. Each year we planned interesting and exciting events, had different themes, guest speakers from all parts of Canada and the U.S. musicians, authors, financial planners, breast cancer survivors and more. Naturally, they were all women. Such amazing learning opportunities and humbling experiences. We had silent auctions, fundraisers, bookstore tables, arts and crafts, and cooking and baking demonstrations. Can you guess what other event we had? You guessed it: “Afternoon Tea” It was a blast planning, shopping, and decorating tables for about 120 women in the main lounge next to the fireplace. The chefs in the kitchen prepared an authentic Tea Party!! Ladies could dress up in their finest attire, with hats and big pouffy things and various accoutrements! A marvellous time of rest, relaxation, sharing stories, soul-searching, self-reflection, gathering #irl with old friends and making new ones, being honest and vulnerable while laughing and crying together. Incredibly healing and good for our souls, these meaningful relationships along with an abundance of love, kindness, grace, humility, support and friendship. 💕 🤗 🙏 Fabulous fun and experiences were enjoyed by all! Special memories to share and cherish. Relationships are what life is all about #events like these are a real treat and a retreat! 😃 😌 Click on the links below! ⬇️ Take a look 👀 at some photos! 📷 Swipe on the #instagram post to see the beauty! https://www.instagram.com/p/BanmFBClKXnQ2jgbr8GCvRBRVzKLVjQodb-lsw0/?utm_medium=copy_link ❤️ 💕 💝 🎁 😊 😌 😎 ☀️ 🍂 🍁 🌲 🍵 ☕️ 🥘 🍰 🧁 🍪 📕 📖 🚶♀️ 🥾 #fridayvibes #fridayfeels #fridayfun #fridayfood #naturealwaysamazes #autumnisawesome #eventplanning #coordinatorofevents #retreatweekends #weekendswithwomen #weekendgetaway #ladiesretreats #womensconference #restandrelaxation #timetorelax #timefortea #afternoontea #thetealady #celebtratethespecialmoments #makingmemories #womeninbusiness #femaleownedbusiness #womensupportingwomen #smallbusinessowner #vancouverbusiness #fraservalleybossladies #yvr #campsqueah 📷 @signature_experience_events 📷 @ritamargaritafarmer. camera
