8/18/2021 0 Comments Wellness Wednesday, Tea and FallYou’ve probably heard the “eff” word recently, haven’t you? Yeah that one...FALL! Or Autumn if you prefer. You can feel it in the air the last few days, (that rain has been a welcome relief hasn’t it? We need more of that pouring down for the fires) If you’re a summer lover, you’re probably not looking forward to Fall. It’s almost time to say goodbye to summer! Already? Major summer lover over here; favourite season! The splendour of Nature, multitude of colours and magnificent artwork of the season is beautiful! It’s almost time for you to get out your warm sweaters, socks, and boots. Everyone loves boots, don’t they? 😉 A time to drink hot beverages; tea, hot chocolate and ciders. Ahhh 😌 so soothing. Sit back and relax in a comfy chair and wrap yourself in a cozy blanket, curl up with a hot cup of tea, a good book and some calming music. Pure bliss! Imagine that feeling and savour these special moments! You may often reach for a cuppa java, to increase your alertness and energy levels. Oh yeah, love a good cup of hot, strong, black coffee over here. Usually early afternoon, it’s time to brew a steaming cup of tea. Ah, the anticipation and the pleasure of tasting it even before it’s steeped. What a wonderful feeling. It’s even better when you are together with a friend or several friends! That will be so much fun!. In person, or socially-distanced if you're more comfortable; you could “meet” for tea via Zoom, could you not? You can plan an “Autumn Afternoon Tea” 😉 You know tea is good for you, don’t you? You get amazing health benefits because tea is full of antioxidants and plant compounds. You’re wondering...what are antioxidants?? An·ti·ox·i·dant - an(t)ēˈäksədənt,ˌanˌtīˈäksədənt/
Whether you choose green, black, oolong or herbal tea, you are making a good choice for your health. “Drink your tea slowly and reverently, as if it is the axis on which the whole world revolves - slowly, evenly, without rushing toward the future.” - Thich Nhat Hanh Gathering with your friends, sharing beverages and #teaboxes is good for your health too.
