Happy Monday friends!
How’s your day going? What are you working on and/or learning today? Monday motivation...Energized after a.m. yoga @mandyingber, Yogalosophy! Thank you! Motivated to get s!$t done! Focused on forward movement, decisive actions and learning. You may have noticed, I am a lover of all things learning, words and books...courses, webinars, reading, writing, speaking, stories, acronyms, quotes, encouragement and sage advice. These prove beneficial in everyday life, personally and professionally. I thoroughly enjoy learning as I believe education is key to everything. Leonardo Da Vinci (1452 - 1519) once said: “learning never exhausts the mind.” So after this morning’s time of devotion, mindfulness, reading and yoga workout, 📖 ✍️ 🧘♀️ I looked at the “things to get done today”/“goals to work on” list and it was “go time.” Carpe Diem! Keep learning! Share and support! Definition of learning - Merriam-Webster 1: the act or experience of one that learns 2: knowledge or skill acquired by instruction or study 3: modification of a behavioral tendency by experience #icymi scroll down to January 15th post about education, reading and your brain. As a firm believer in and supporter of education, I “back this up” by giving back to Friendship Bridge (registered Non-Profit organization) which empowers women and eliminates poverty. What are some things that help you stay motivated and keep learning? Go ahead, share your tips in the comments! While you’re “there”, be awesome and drop your ideas for gifts you want in a #teabox It’s always good to learn from and support each other. Gratefully, Rita ❤️ 😊 😃 🤗 ❤️ 💕 💝💖 🎁 🍵 ☕️ 🍷 📖 📚 🧠 💭 👩 👩💻 👨💻 📲 📱 #tea #afternoontea #teatime #taketimeforyou #thetealady #spreadingjoy #teabox #inspiration #monday #mondaymood #motivation #motivationmonday #celebratethespecialmoments #learning #education #givingback #donate #gifts #present #supportlocal #supportsmallbusiness #smallbusinessowner #womeninbusiness #linkinbio #langleybusiness #fraservalley #bossladies #yvr #yvrrealestate #heather_rosehill 📷 The Bar Method

Sharing a few Friday feelings and a cuppa with you! (Double Bergamot Earl Grey today) I love sharing and giving! 😃 Friendship, laughter, tears, kindness, hugs, (sadly, not now) tea, coffee, food, especially sweet treats, books, and gifts and much more. A few things you deserve and you can share:
"Tea is also a sort of spiritual refreshment, an elixir of clarity, and wakeful tranquility. Respectfully preparing tea and partaking of it mindfully create heart-to-heart conviviality, a way to go beyond this world and enter a realm apart. No pleasure is simpler, no luxury cheaper, no consciousness-altering agent more benign." What a beautiful description of an experience to enjoy and share with your family and friends. (safely) - James Norwood Pratt (1942 - ) American author, educator, and speaker, on the topics of wine, tea, and tea lore. Known as "America's Tea Sage," he is possibly the world's most widely read authority on tea and tea lore. When you share, you feel better, because it is good for your health, promotes gratitude, empathy and compassion. It can release neurochemicals that result in a sense of well-being. What are some of the ways you share? What’s in your cup today? Share your Friday feelings below. :-) ❤️💕 🥰 😃 🤗 😆 🍵 ☕️ 🍷 🎂 🍰 🧁 🍪 📚 #afternoontea #tea #taketimefortea #alwaystimefortea #thetealady #spreadingjoy #teabox #gifts #givingback #bekind #kindness #share #shareacup #sharingiscaring #compassion #celebratethespecialmoments #love #friday #fridayvibes #feelings #empoweringwomen #womeninbusiness #smallbusinessowner #supportsmallbusiness #bossladies #langley #fraservalley #yvr #yvrrealestate #linkinbio #friendshipbridge @naneahoffman @ritamargaritafarmer Do you know what day it is today?
Celebrating my son’s 29th Birthday today! ❤️ 🎂 🥳 The new daddy to my 1st Grandchild born last week! #icymi See post of January 26th! You will notice it because of my radiant smile! 😃 It’s as bright as our glorious yellow sunshine outside in that clear blue sky! ☀️ 🌌 You can enjoy celebrating National Carrot Cake Day! February 3, 2021 You can bake a carrot cake, you can plant carrots in your garden (easy to grow...I will soon) or you can buy a cake and support your local #smallbusiness The French were 1st in 1827, the earliest known recipe for carrot cake was published in Britain - in a French cookbook. Go figure. Yes, you can pair carrot cake with your tea. It’s not usually the first treat that comes to mind when you think of tea pairing. When enjoying your tea, your first savoury course will pair well with teas different from those that go well with desserts. You can switch your tea flavours depending on the course, if you choose. Ceylon tea is an excellent match for fruit cakes, carrot cake, gingerbread, lemon cake, and scones with jam and cream. Back teas, dark Oolongs, Darjeeling Second Flush, Keemun and Russian Caravan are good with nuts and spices and pair well with cheesecake, carrot cake, tiramisu, and creamy pastries. Try balancing the naturally complex flavours of earthy cooked Pu-erhs and Oolongs with dark chocolate. (one of the delectable treats and delicious flavours you can savour in a #teabox) A few reasons to love Carrot Cake:
“The World’s Best Carrot Cake!” Layers of delicious, moist flavours filled with coconut, crushed pineapple, spices, nuts and of course, carrots! For the “icing on the cake” (pun intended) add the finishing touch by topping it off with a delectable cream-cheese frosting! 😋 So there you have it; go ahead and eat cake! You will improve your sight and overall health while sipping your tea or coffee and experiencing the taste! YUMMY This recipe makes a fabulous and moist carrot cake! 🤤 You can also make this into cupcakes. Makes 12 - 16 servings Prep time: 20 minutes Bake Time: 40 minutes Ingredients: 3 eggs 3/4 cup buttermilk 3/4 cup vegetable oil 1 1/2 cups white sugar 2 teaspoons vanilla extract 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon 1/4 teaspoon salt 2 cups all-purpose flour 2 teaspoons baking soda 2 cups shredded carrots 1 cup flaked coconut 1 (8 ounce) can crushed pineapple with juice 1 cup chopped walnuts ❤️ 😃 🤗 ☀️ 🍵 ☕️ 🍷 🎂 🍰 🧁 🎉 🎈 🎊 #afternoonteapairing #afternoontea #tea #taketimefortea #alwaystimefortea #thetealady #spreadingjoy #teabox #gifts #givingback #celebratethespecialmoments #birthday #february #february3 #love #cake #carrotcake #nationalcarrotcakeday #coffee #empoweringwomen #womeninbusiness #smallbusinessowner #bossladies #langley #fraservallye #yvr #yvrrealestate #linkinbio Happy Monday friends! 😊
Yeah it’s February! Almost Spring! 🌺 The month of love, presents, flowers, chocolates, cookies, tea, coffee and...which gift will you choose? ❤️ Do you know? The flowers commonly known as “Forget-Me-Nots” are named Myosotis, a Greek derivative meaning mouse’s ear as their foliage resembles the same. Henry IV of England, in 1938, took the German Vergissmeinnicht and adapted it as his emblem. Generally, the Forget-Me-Not flower meaning is remembrance and love. Lovers in Germany during Medieval Times (and later)I wore Forget-Me-Nots as a reminder of their love for each other. According to French legend, a young knight was trying to pick up the flower for his lady. But he fell into the river because of his heavy armor. Before sinking forever, he tossed the flower to his girl and shouted ‘forget me not!’ Since then, the flower symbolizes sincere, eternal, and desperate love. The Forget-Me-Not is a symbol for Alzheimer Nederland, a foundation advocating for people suffering from dementia. Worldwide, Alzheimer Societies have adopted it as a symbol of memory loss. A Forget-Me-Not invites you to remember people with Alzheimers and their caregivers as well. I’ve “been there” with my very dearly beloved, flower-gardening-and tea-loving late Mom. 😢 The Forget-Me-Not remains a powerful symbol even to this day. In the language of flowers, as it symbolizes true and undying love. For this Valentine’s Day, why not add a charming medieval legend that unites love and a popular plant, the forget-me-not, that you can gift to your loved ones? If you're a “green thumb”, a gardener and lover of flowers like I am, plant your Forget-Me-Not seeds directly in the garden after removing all weeds. Water the soil the day before so it will be moist enough to receive seeds. Plant seeds from May to September, burying them just under the surface of the soil. Remember, 😉 this flower in fresh form, is not available near Valentine’s Day or in Spring. Newly planted Forget-Me-Nots will bloom only after the second Spring, and when they bloom, they will continue annually. These flowers; native to Europe and Asia, are a low maintenance plant, and are ideal for flower beds and borders in your garden. After you’ve created your garden, savour a cup of tea and enjoy your #teabox gifts while you remember your loved ones. Why not have an afternoon tea, virtually and #celebratethespecialmoments share gardening tips and/or have a heart-to-heart together? I’ll raise a cup and remember you. 🍵 😊 Yours in love, health and gardening! ❤️💕 🥰 😘 🤗 😃 🍵 ☕️ 🍷 🥂 🍹 🍰 🎂 🧁 ☀️ 💐 🌸 🌺 👫 👬 👭 🕰 ⏰ #tea #afternoontea #teatime #metime #alwaystimefortea #taketimeforyou #thetealady #spreadingjoy #heart #love #february #valentinesdaygift #gifts #givingback #maker #curate #flowers #forgetmenot #remember #event #entrepreneurs #smallbusinessowner #supportlocal #womeninbusiness #bossladies #fraservalley #yvr #linkinbio @antiquesandteacups @mindy_creativejuice @heggjes |
