2/22/2021 0 Comments National Margarita Day!Happy Monday! Do you know what day it is today? Aside from the beginning of your week? Today is National Margarita Day!! Yay! Do Margaritas and the mere thought of them conjure up images and make you think of parties, beaches, Mexican Restaurants, Fiestas, the Caribbean and often - Jimmy Buffet and Margaritaville?! The song that became popular in 1977 that spoke of life in the tropics and a life of escapism, which catapulted Jimmy to national fame. You probably have the words memorized and are you tapping your toes to it right now?! 💃 🕺 Every year on February 22 is National Margarita Day. A good reason to relish in, imbibe and savour the flavours (responsibly) of this exceptionally popular drink, don’t you think? Nvm “When life hands you lemons”...”When life hands you limes, make margaritas! “The Margarita is the most famous and frequently consumed tequila cocktail in the world.” according to Ivar De Lange, Master Bartender at Lucas Bols. It is definitely my most favourite tequila cocktail! According to an article in Thrillist, as of August 2016, there were 3.4 million #margarita hashtags on Instagram! Today it’s 7.1 million!! It’s the beverage you serve and enjoy for happy moments in your life. Apparently, people view Margarita drinkers as energetic, outgoing, and free-spirited. Or is that the tequila talking? 😂 The Margarita is a version of the “Daisy Cocktail” Margaritas can be served shaken with ice...“on the rocks”...blended with ice,...“frozen”...or without ice...straight up.” So, you may have noticed the picture from last Friday’s post...scroll down and look...it’s the one with the mug that says “Breakfast Wine” 😂 Chai Spice is in my mug this morning for real. Black tea, cinnamon, ginger root, cinnamon, flavour, allspice, clove bud oil, nutmeg and cardamom oil. That’s the only spicy drink for me during the day. 😉 Have you heard about the “British Breakfast Margarita”?? Here’s a recipe for you: Ingredients 2 oz. Herradura Silver Large Bar Spoon of Apricot Jam ¾ oz. Lime Juice ¼ oz. Simple Syrup Directions: Pour all ingredients in a cocktail shaker; shake hard and pour into an ice filled old fashioned glass. Garnish with kumquats (in season), apricots and a mint sprig. There are a wide variety of Margarita beverages since the drink first became popular back in 1938. My favourite flavour is the original one; Lime Margarita! Lots of Tequila and Lime and minimal to no salt. What is your favourite flavour of Margarita? If you could travel, where would you enjoy your “te-kil-ya?” I mean Margarita! 😝 Drop your favourite flavours and places you would love to enjoy this popular drink! 😃 😃 🍵 ☕️ 🍷 🍹 ♥️ 💕 🎉 🎊 💃 🕺 🏝 🏖 🌊 🇲🇽 🇩🇴 🇨🇷 🇯🇲 🇹🇨 #happy #cheers #beverage #tequila #margarita #margaritaday #nationalmargaritaday #margaritamonday #mynamesake #tea #afternoontea #teatime #timefortea #alwaystimefortea #thetealady #spreadingjoy #gifts #donate #givingback #teaboxes #linkinbio #langley #langleybusiness #womeninbusiness #smallbusiness #smallbusinessowner #supportlocal #bossladies #fraservalley #yvr 📷 @herradurateq @thespruceeats @jimmybuffett @ritamargaritafarmer
